Back-firing out the exhaust is caused by fuel and spark happening in the exhaust stroke of the cylinders.

reset fault codes run to see if it comes back < coil pack could be shot ,check for spark at #4 and possible spark plug is woren out.

If your having a miss fire on your car it could be as simple as a bad spark plug/spark plug wire, or as bad as off timing.

No fier from coil to dist fier running throught fier wall

Electronic engine control module-ecm no.1 yellow wire to eec power relay.white/light blue wire to red/light green wire at ignition switch and fusible link, from fusible link white/light blue wire to ignition coil and eec distributer module. the no. 1 yellow wire at the eec power relay should have voltage on it at all times, it also has a fusible link. good luck!

Try to start the engine but it want start . so i checked to se if the fuel pump was getting fier to the positive wire and it was . so i changed the fuel pump but it is still doing the same thing. so I...

I ran into this problem with one of these at my shop. Gave me a fit for a week. Replaced quit a few parts. After lots of time and money, I finally fixed it by adding a ground wire from the negative battery post to one of the distributor mounting bolts. These also have problems with the distributors.

You'd be suprised how much it helps to know if it was raining or what the driving conditions were when the fault occured.

Some possible causes are as follows:- contaminated fuel, oiled plug or plugs, dis-connected plug leads, moisture or water contamination on the ignition system....Low fuel pump pressure....More imfo from you could help solve your problem
