Will not turn off

I seem to remember the Sedona has a common rail diesel engine so in order to keep running after being turned off something is allowing power to keep flowing to the engine management.

While this could be a wiring fault or even a fault in the ECU itself, it is more likely to be something simple, such as, a broken ignition switch or a worn or broken drive from the steering lock to the ignition switch or perhaps the contacts of a relay are fused together.

If the engine stops when the ignition switch is disconnected...

What makes a 1988 F150 trucks ingnition stay engaged

Most likely the ignition switch or the rod in the steering column is sticking and keeping the switch engaged, possibly the ignition lock cylinder is sticky too. Easy to get lock cylinder out with a small punch that depresses a pin when the lock cylinder is in the run position, look under the steering column by the switch for a hole to poke the punch into and then pull out the lock cylinder.

Will a bad ignition switch not let the engine shut off?

there is every possibility that there will be a problem as if the power wire to the ignition is touching the run wire (internally) then the engine keeps getting power to run and will not switch off.

Cooling fan keeps running after engine turned off on a 1996 ef ford falcon

Some fans do keep running after engine is switched off for a short period of time (up to 5 minutes) Check with a service person (ford) to see if that is the case or if you have a faulty sensor.

2002 f350 will not shut off with key. with key removed dash lights stay on and engine continues to run must pull injector relay to shut down. the dash lights stay on as if you turned the key to accesory...

ok well this is where you might be incorrect... either you have a 12 volt wire bleeding scross or you have a bad ignition switch. the run wire off the ignition switch is the only thing that will keep it running unless you have a remote start then of course that could keep the engine running. you might want to start by making sure the ignition switch is beaking the signal to the PCM.

The engine in my ford laser keeps running after the igntion is switched off.

It sounds like the electronic part of the ignition switch is bad, allowing the car to keep running. If its contacts are worn out, it may not realize the key has been turned to the Off position, and allows the car to keep running. The ignition switch is usually fairly inexpensive (less than $50), and doesn't take more than an hour or so to change.
