For the transmission to make a noise only in gear, is an indication of failing bearings as the load is applied to the cluster shaft bearings. Pull the drain plug and check for metal stuck to the magnet in the plug

04 Pontiac Aztec will not shift from first gear to second. Instead it shifts to neutral. then you have to wait for 13 to 14 mph for first gear to re-engage. any ideas?

check the level of the trany fluid-you have a leak-probably up around the lower part of the radiator-or your trany is blowing up-cheers Denny

Everytime the car change gears its jecks

First has the trany fluid and filter been changed? they should be changed when your owners man. states.(most of the time its around 100k miles) I've found that (Lucas transmission fix) works great on most trany problems.

2002 Impala: transmission limp mode...

Most transmissions have a limp mode, or limp-home mode.
If the driveline computer thinks there is something wrong, it can lock the transmission into one gear, such as 2nd gear. Usually reverse will also be available. The Impala automatic has 4 speeds. 2nd speed or gear will get you home, but the engine rpms can get a little high. I wouldn't get on the expressway will in limp mode.
Before taking to the shop, you might want to try and reset limp mode by turning the car off for a couple minutes, or you may have to disconnect and reconnect the battery.

I have jeep liberty 2003 and it has gear 3and 4 incorrect ratio. the trany does not want to shift th higher gears- any advice what it could be?

faulty input speed sensor possible. sensors are fairly cheap and easy to install. no gaurentees because normally u will have more codes then just the 3-4 ratio with a faulty sensor but u may get lucky

Jeep liberty transmission problem

IT COULD BE SOLENOID PACK OR THE GOVERNOR AND TRANSDUCER OR LOW FLUID OR THE MOST COMMON REPAIR SPEEDS SENSORS INPUT/OUTPUT. ALL OF THESE CONTROLS THE SHIFTING. START WITH THE SENSORS FIRST, VERY COMMON.
