You may have a blown head gasket. Carefully remove the radiator cap not the reservoir cap then start the engine and look for bubbles coming up in the coolant if you see bubbles it's a head gasket. A cylinder leak down test will show you which one. I assume you changed the thermostat. I hop this helps. Take care.

probably not without some difficulty as the main body of the box will be different
that will require you to check the bell housing bolt pattern, the gear selection position and the tail shaft will have to be shortened in the front section as the length of the box is expected to be longer
find a transmission shop that does repairs and see if you can get both boxes side by side to compare or ask around wreckers to see if you can get to compare boxes
generally it is far easier to change both the engine / transmission as an assembly and the 2010 engine will be more efficient with more torque that the 2004 engine

it states
M14 bolts 98 nm then 147 nm then + between 30 to 60 Degrees
M10 bolts 38 nm

this you will have to investigate further . The gear box from a 2 tonner may be well down on the torque rating for a 4 ton truck and if they fit may not last because of the extra torque load on the shafts and gears . Best discuss this with the tech experts on the web customer technical services for the manufacturer if the truck
