I wouldn't be adding anything to any vehicle
systems wiring on todays vehicles, your asking
for trouble
Have no idea what you want to do but I would work
off factory wiring diagrams & be sure your on a circuit
direct from the battery & thru a fuse the proper size &
not anything computer related at all if that circuit has a
function to power something already. Need to add up
the amps of what is on there & what you have left to work
with
What about finding out what the power ports are for?
Read your owners manual for the power ports purpose
& use

Why won't it turn on and produce sound? It became hot and the reciever shut down and I was curious if it may be a fuse or if it is just burnt up

Assuming this is a car sterio, there is a 10 amp fuse on the back of the sterio that could have burn out. There is also two fuses in your fuse panel for the radio. One is generally labeled radio and the other electronics. The electronics fuse is tied in with the beeping function of the vehicle when the door is open with the key in the ignition.

Horn and brake lights

This happend when you put a new sterio? Now your horn and tail lights dont work. Well some models require and extra harness to make the after market sterio work, check in to that. Or a fuse, make you where the wire is and trace it to see if it goes to the radio

KEEP BLOWING THE FUSE AS SOON AS IT IS ENTERED IN THE FUSE BOX.

If you can pull the plug from the wiper motor and try fuse. If no change disconnect the plug to the electric windows and try fuse. Unlikly to be in dome light circut unless you have had aftermarket sterio system or other accessory fitted recently
