Question about Cars & Trucks
My window has been playing up for a while. When you put the window half way down and then try to close it, it keeps going down and then will not go back up again. I have had the windows reset and it worked for a couple of days and then stopped again. Drivers side switch has been changed and still have the problem!

The anti-pinch has to be 'reset', unfortunatly the motor has to be remover and reset. If you replaced the glass yourself... then go back and remove the glass from the regulator, unbolt & remove the regulator from the door (10mm bolts). remove the motor from the regulator. plug power into motor and rotate the drive gear 'UP' 6-10 turns. motor should be reset. reinstall motor, regulator and window. check operation before installing door panel.

I had the same problem and found the the plastic clip that holds the window to the guide rails that guid the window up and down was broken. The solution is the window regulator assembly has to be replaced. The cheepest place to find replacement is the salvage yards. Older models will work but some have to be dissemble and make 1 unit out or 2. Another thing that happens is the cables that runs in the tracks get rusted and binds a little, Remove the door panel and lubicate the tracks that the cable travel in, I hope that this will help

I know its not what anyone would want to here but sounds like a short. Best thing to do is first wiggle your key switch when the vehicle in in the on position then at the same time try to check to see if locks or windows are working. Then do the same in while the rig is running. If that dont work your ignition is fine and you need to take off door panels and check and wiggle all conections on window motors and lock motors and look for melted or burt wire or some that might have got hot. If all is good there you need to go to the back of the fuse box were the fuses to those items plug in and check there. As far as the service engine light goes either take it to the nearest Schucks or AutoZone and they will check it for free if not cycle the key on and off 3 times and on the 3rd time leave it in the on position look at your odometer light and it will flash a code remember that code and type Dodge then the code on yahoo search and it should tell you why your light is on Hintz whay sensor is bad. Hope this helps.

As mentioned here, this worked for me on a 55 reg:
Disconnect the battery for 30 seconds. Then follow the calibrate instructions that can be found under "Windows" in the owner's manual. Took less than 5 minutes in all to fix.
