Pretty sure they have a chip in the key that is coded to the ignition module so I doubt hot wiring would work.

2007 jeep commander 3.7l v6 running hot changed radiator and thermostat still running hot and white smoke with a mist coming out of tailpipe


get a head gasket test done they may be bad and need replacing. it could be a bad water pump or poor cooling system circulation. is the rad cooling fan working like it should.

I dont know the specifics of your Jeep but on most cars there are alot of harness connector plugs behind the plastic kick panels under the dash-ahead of the doors

Transmission over temp signal vehicle won't


First I was told it was a battery... replaced it Then two months later I was told it was a starter.... replaced Another two months later I was told it was the ignition switch... replaced it yesterday...
Just walked out of a restaurant 24 hours later and the car does not want to start. The dealership seems to be inept at figuring it out, and Jeep helpline doesn't offer any help at all.

There should be a button says " TIME" or "Set Up" and make your selection by turning the right knob.

Check the battery cables, then go to the starter relay, then the starter, (If the lights are bright when you turn them on)

it would seem that your vehicl is in limp in/ engine protect mode this typ of problem should be under warrenty you need to take it to the dealership to have this fixed at no cost. hope this helps. please rate this solution. thanks
