Find and replace fuel injectors on my 2000 F350 diesel

Where are the fuel injectors on a 2000 F350 7.3 liter turbo diesel Powerstroke located and how can I tell which two aren't working? A mechanic hooked up his tested to the computer under my dash and told me it's running on 6 cylinders. How easy or difficult are they to replace? If a "beginner" shouldn't attempt this, where would be the cheapest place to take it to have it done?

I have sen co workers(heavy duty techs) work on diesels fords. its not easy to do injectors on those.you attempt to do it yourself and youre gonna create more work and more problems.

Is this a diesel or gas vehicle ? and what engine does it have ? They all have different type of systems . Diesels have a low pressure and high pressure pump and IPC and IPR valves . Gas vehicles have different controls ,( FPDM ) fuel pump driver module that is controlled by the engine computer ,with the help of a fuel rail pressure sensor. 2006 f350 6.0 powerstroke diesel missing. help

there is no wastegate on a 6.0l turbo. its a variable geometry turbocharger and doesn't need it. i have never seen a turbocharger cause a misfire, the turbocharger is most likely not your problem. if you didn't clean the intake out when replacing the egr valve there is a really good chance that the egr is bad again. also, a bad egr cooler can cause repeat egr failure. also, fuel injector control module is a common cause for misfire

ATT.NET7.3 POWERSTROKE WONT IDLE 99 MODEL

According to my Haynes Diesel Engine Repair manual this is a list of possible causes.
1.Slow idle incorrectly adjusted
2.Fast idle is inoperative
3.Restricted fuel return system
4.Glow plugs turn off too soon
5.Insufficient fuel suuply to injector pump
6.Injector pump malfunction
7.Incorrect, contaminated or poor quality fuel
8.Air in fuel.
The manual is part number 10330 anywhere they sell Haynes manuals ($20). It has a very good section on the 7.3 especially if you don't want to spend money at a diesel shop every time it needs work. Hope this helps.

How do you remove the fuel injector on a ford 6.0 liter diesel engine?

V8 6.0L DSl Turbo VNP 1. Remove the valve cover 2 disconnect the fuel injector electrical connector 3 remove the bolts and the high-pressure oil rail 4 Caution, Do not attempt to apply battery voltage to the injector or damage to the fuel injector will occur. using a 19mm (.074 in) socket, push the fuel injector electrical connector out of the rocker arm carrier. 5 Note - there is no need to drain the fuel rail - if the engine coolant is found in the chambers,it may be necessary to install a new injector sleeve. Remove the bolt, fuel injector hold-down clamp and fuel injector.

1995 f350 7.3 powerstroke losing oil I believe oil is going into fuel tank. whats my problem?

You have a bad Injector O-ring. It is letting high pressure oil over power the diesel fuel pressure.

O-ring kits are available for $7 for each injector.
