You can jumper the switch to verify it is at fault. Also check it for power when the key switch is in the on or start position.

Have you tried resetting the Inertia switch? This switch will cut off power to the fuel pump. It is usually behind one of the kick-panels. It is a safety switch and has a reset button on it. It can trip by mistake when you shut a door or make any impact motion. It is suppose to prevent gas fires in an accident.

Car won't crank check for fuel and no fuel put gas in and check the fuses everything seams good check for power going to the fuel pump with the switch on and there is no power to the fuel pump. We

Fuel pump will only have power for 2 seconds unless engine is cranking or running. Most common cause for ur problem is a broken dowel pin in the cam gear causing the timing to be out just enough to shut itdown

1994 Goldwing GL1500 won't start. It cranks, battery is good. Check fuel pump, but no fuel is flowing. Is there a fuel shut-off switch?

Not pumping fuel. There is either a blown fuse, a bad relay empty gas tank, bad electrical connection, bad ground or a bad fuel pump. For a bad electrical connect, take apart any connection related to the problem and if bad, remove connector and hard wire it.

Engine cranks but won't start

POSSIBLY YOU FUEL PUMP IS BAD OR YOUR FUEL PUMP RELAY OR FUSE. ON YOUR FUEL INJECTION LINE THERE IS A BLACK CAP UNSCREW IT THERE IS A PART THAT LOOKS LIKE VALVE STEM TAKE A PHILLIP SCREW DRIVER AND PUSH THAT STEM IN IF THERE IS NO PRESSURE (OR GAS DOESN'T COME OUT) IT' THE FUEL PUMP.

Have a 2001 jaguar vanden plas. It won't start. It cranks fine battery is good but it won't turn over. I have been told could be fuel filter and or fuel pump. If you agree how do i change

To confirm that is is the fuel pump at issue here get a can of spray starting fluid and next time it won't fire up spray it into the air intake hose of the engine while someone cranks the engine over, if it lights right off then the pump may be the problem. A clogged fuel filter may cause loss of power but seldom if ever a no start.

Ingene cranks but wont start. checked fuses and relay are ok, fuel pump has no power.

open the bonnet/hood then if you look on the passenger side of bulkhead next to inner wing there is a fuel emergency fuel pump shut off switch it is square and has a press button also on top usually rubber coated it may be red or yellow in colour ? try pressing button then try starting ? this switch is auto operation and switches off power to fuel pump in event of impact /accident so lessens risk of fuel leakage and possible risy of fire ? have had these trip out with older vehicle by simply dropping hood closed worth a try ?
