The low side pressure will be around 35psi and the high side will be between 200 and 250psi with the engine at idle speed.

I have 2011 Nissan Sentra. Yesterday the a/c worked fine. Today it blows only hot air (compressor not engaging). I checked the freon, it's good. I'm lost.

If your fuses are all ok, there is a good chance the climate control unit has failed (the piece with all of the dials and buttons).

A/C Cluch Spinning, Fluid Full, but No Cold Air

Many A/C compressors rely on a computer generated reset of data to perform properly. Check the gauges, while attempting to energize the system to see if the fluids are up to the proper levels. Too much pressure can also be caused by a blockage in the lines and thus leaking from the valves. When filling with Freon, it is important to do a full Vacuum of the system to prevent air locks, and false readings on the gauges.

WHEN I SPEED MORE 70 MPH THE AC STARTS BLOWING HOT AIR FOR 10 SEC0NDS END THEN GO BACK TO COOL AIR.

Sounds like a leak in the Compresser lines and you lost some freeon. You need to have somone service the air conditioning system.Ford also has cutout switches on compresser on some models so when you call for full throttle it shuts off air momentarily so you have full power to pass someone.See if you truck has this switch.More than likly you need a system recharge.

A/c

if you just added cans on freon to the system without gauges to see how much is in it,you have it over full, if the system is over full, it cant curulate .if it dont curulate it wont cool, i had one that was to full ,the hotter the outside temp got it stopped cooling, when it was 80 degrees it done fine when it hit 90 it stopped curulating,no cool.check it with gauges, check a/c fuse in compressor ,hope this is some help to you, thanks robert b.

Air condition suddenly blowing uncooled air.radiator full. worked great until yesterday. could it be thermostat?

The thermostat and radiator are part of the engine cooling system, not part of the air condition system. Chances are, the A/C system is low on refrigerant. The system has a low pressure switch that prevents the air conditioner compressor from being damaged with the Freon is low.

You can purchase a can or R134a refrigerant at any parts store and try recharging the system yourself….the basic instructions can be found here:

Air conditioning

If the system isn't cycling on and off every two seconds then the charge is fine, your evaporator may be clogged. It might be more cost efective to send it to the dealer.
