On most models the ac relay is grounded by the body computer. So if the compressor clutch is not getting power from the relay, and the relay has power going to it from the fuses, the problem could be the pressure sensor or the body computer.

Why would a fuse be independant from the fuse box, and be hidden somewhere where it cant be found, and what does input shorted to the ground.

it means that either the power board in the inside unit is faulty and not sending messages to the power board on the compressor unit
if you didn't get the ac service agent out to do the checks, then any other electrician/ac mechanic will not be trained in the product
if you did get the service agent out then complain to the manufacturer about the faulty service

Ac blowing hot air tried to recharge but compressor would not take charge, gage needle went to yellow could over charge stop compressor 00linc ls v8

in this particular problem firstly you have to analyse the power ampere of ac because sometimes power not flows properly and due to this ac compressor cant work properly because they cant get their requirement power . secondly you can check gas in compressor because sometimes due to tiny wholes gas gets released and it causes in hot air blowing

AC compressor clutch wont engage

Compressor will not run if freon charge low. If you want it to run supply direct power and ground to back of compressor. I do not recommend a home recharge as you will not be able to evacuate the moisture in the system and inject adequate amounts of oil

My problem is the ac unit will not click on i have already checked the gas.cant find the fuse

Before you get power to the compressor. the power runs thru a relay and the high and low pressure switches. you might check these first if your not getting power the compressor. if you are then the electromagnetic clutch is bad

I have a 1996 Suburban w/ rear a/c and I keep losing power to my a/c compressor. I can cycle the compressor on by hand if I use a power probe and go directly from a hot to compressor but I cant find why I...

AC systems have a pressure switch to prevent compressor from cycling when freon is low.if it's working occasionally,it most likely needs a 'booster shot' of freon.

Ac problem

the coil is inside the front of compressor the electrical connector on the compressor that the coil for a block orifice tube forget it high pressure would go up pass 3oo untill pressure sensor cut the compressor you have to look if you have power and ground when the compressor not working or a bad sensor near the dryer 12volt positive bypass that switch i think that what it is, wire beeteen the 2 therminal send power to compressor the pressure that you have mean the ac system get cool off our low side is 40 not block you said 100 somthing the warmer it is the high side is higher our pressure look good its probably a sensor problem look at it pierre
