I have a similar problem with iStop. It tends not to operate even when the demand on the battery is low. Tapping the accelerator forces it to operate. Just my car?

SOURCE: new battery in 06 mazda 6

1. Turn ignition switch to "on" position.
2. Open passenger window completely from passenger side window switch.
3. Close passenger window completely from passenger side window switch, and hold switch for an additional 2 seconds.
4. Turn ignition back to "lock" position.

That's it. Works like a champ. And here you thought it was more than just a battery dying....I did.

SOURCE: mazda 6 2o diesel replaced turbo new unit same

There is a oil drain return from the turbo charger to the sump. If the sump oil level covers the outlet into the sump, oil will build excess pressure tin the turbo causing the sealing rings to leak oil in to the intake manifold. This would cause smokey exhaust and loss of oil. Try this. Drain the sump completely, refill with the exact quantity of oil to Mazda spec. Dip the oil and if the new oil level is lower than the full mark on the dipstick, you have found the cause of the problem. Mark this new level with a scriber or file and fill only to this new level. Hope this is the solution.

I have just replaced the clutch and seviced my mazda 6 2006 model but are having idle problems the engine slall when stoping. How do I fix this?

Might try resetting the computer by disconnecting the Battery. If that doesn't work you would probably need to adjust the Idle stop screw on the throttle cable.

Why are the door locks lof my 2004 mazda 6 ocking and unlocking on their own?

If they lock after you start to drive forward...and automatically unlock when you stop and place gear shift in park...that is a safety design...Many car builders use this, with certain variables as to when to auto lock, and auto unlock...if the locks are working on there own after you have started driving...that is another problem. Your owners manual should address how the locks in your Mazda 6 are designed to work. Hope this helps.

Idles rough when at stop lights etc.

Depending on vehicle mileage, you are likely ready for a tuneup that would include new

1. Spark plugs
2. Spark plug wires
3. ignition cap/rotor, if used
4. new serpentine belt(s)
5. Fuel system cleaner such as Chevron Techron or Regane
6. New timing chain/belt if mileage warrants--check owner's manual

Barring serious mechanical issues, the above items should eliminate the idling problem OR make it much easier for a shop to trace the real problem using a OBDII Scan Tool.
