Maybe -- a failed fuel pump--that can be tested in several ways
Clogged gas filter--only if it has been in the car for 8 years
Fuel Pressure Regulator-may be somehow related
Ignition switch or other items that turn on the fuel pump,
fuel pump relay on a 20 year old vehicle !!!

What to do if you think you put bad gas in your tank

Hopefully your vehicle will have a drain plug in the bottom of the fuel tank*: remove this & drain the fuel.
With the plug still removed flush about 5-10 litres of fuel thru by putting in thru the tank filler hole as usual.
Replace the drain plug and put a FULL tank of fuel in (this will dilute any residue as much as possible)
*In the case of no drain plug the fuel tank will need to be removed & fuel drained out thru the filler neck, drain fuel, replace tank & procede from the 'put a FULL tank of fuel section of this instruction.
If the vehicle has been started with the bad fuel remove the fuel filter.
If the vehicle has an electric fuel pump* (more modern vehicles ie. Post 1985 [some vehicles still had & still do have mechanicle fuel pumps]) turn the ignition on with the fiter not in place, vthis will flush fuel thru the fuel lines pushing out the bad/old fuel. Take care as the fuel will be under a fair bit of pressure & "sqirt' out.
*If it is a mechanicle pump this can not be done in this way.
Replace the fuel filter with a new one.
Bleed the fuel system & start the vehicle.
Allow the vehicle to idle for 10-15mins before going back to your usual driving.
All shld now be ok but it is a good idea to routinely inspect the fuel system for leaks over the nxt 10 000km or six months (wich ever is earlyest) as in the case of puting petrol in diesel or diesel in petrol the different rubber and plastic items (such as 'o' rings) can begin to deteriate & leak in wich case they will require replacement.

All the best & I hope this is of some help & it works out for you...

I have a 1988 Nissan 300Z Turbo. I do not hear the fuel pump clicking. I unhooked the fuel line after the fuel filter and cranked the engine. No fuel from the fuel line. What should I try?

Fuel pump relay? Fuel pump itself? Bad ground in fuel pump? Check for voltage going to the pump. If volts ok, pump is bad, if volts are not present, bad relay.

Have code p0300 active just replaced fuel pump, all spark plugs, wires, cap, and rotor, engine back fires, and has explosion in the air filter area

Code p0300 is multi- misfires [ any number of the cyinders ]. Sometimes when a fuel pump is replaced, the system will have air inside and will mis & backfire untill the air is cleared back thru the return line, or blead out the test port. This will set the p0300 code. It's rare to have a backfire bad enough to have an explosion, bleed the lines thru the test port untill you see no more bubbles comming out.

fuel pressure regulator may be controlled electrically thru fuel pump on this vehicle, I recommend replacing your fuel pump with new unit and check all fuel lines for posssible leaks

Thre no gas going thru the gas line

If the fuel filter is clogged up, even the fuel pump is working, fuel is not going to be delivered to the gas line. Replace the fuel filter first if pump is working. If pump is not working then have to troubleshoot why to address the correct repair, relay or pump or circuit control fuel pump besides the relay.
