Fiat multipla problems. Stalling at traffic lights,not all the time . Idle at 500

Everything checked, no faults showing on computer

In all these cases it appear to be a problem with the synchronizers or a dented pinion. To verify, the oil can be check for metal deposits. Fiats have bronze synchronizers and when placed under heavy shifting load they were out rapidly. if this is the case replacement is the solution and transmission has to be open. The car can be driven but gear will keep releasing. Sometimes the synchronizer level bends causing an incomplete setting off the gear.

if you could get your hands on a scanner to read some live data it would help your plight,there is a cam position sensor when you take of the the plastic head cover at the timing belt end,did you check plugs,it also might help to clean the maf with some contact spray,sounds like plugs

the lock up converter is staying engaged when you stop have it scanned for trans codes may need lock up selinoid (tcc) or torque converter changed try putting it in neutral before you stop if it stays running this is probibally your problem

SOURCE: 2001 LINCOLN LS V6 - ROUGH IDLE / SOMETIMES STALLING.

Very common problem is about a dime size hole wearing in the rubber elbow on the PCV valve located on the driver side rear of the intake manifold.

Replace the switch don't bypass it this indicates an issue with your fuel check with your fiat dealer

500 pop 2008 vehicle stalling intermitantly with engine hot or cold.


Have you had the electronics tested for fault codes? That is the 1st step when you have a problem like this.

Flashing display


this light will always stay on even after initial start up you can easily switch pass air bag of by putting your key into switch located on pass dashboard on side.

To be fair, you dont want it any lower than that. 850 rpm is the norm for nearly all manual vehicles.
