I had a 2000 gmc which jerked bad and I thought was transmission problem. I found it was bad map sensor. If you have check engine light find out what the codes indicate. These days electrical controls mechanical much of the time.

Hi I'm female and have a toyota tazz 1999 model. The car started jerking as I drive, feels sluggish as well. Checked fuel filter but seems clean, no smoke, oil and water is fine(can it still be a gasket?)...

jerking can be from many things
1: brakes locked up. or bad.
2: engine jerks
3: transmission jerks.

sluggish, same,
find a shop any auto repair shop to tell you which of the 3 it is.
then post for help.

keep in mind, not one person here can drive your car. and see that.

Jerking accelerating

similar problems: After 20min cool down jeep was bucking/lurching that I traced to bad o2 sensor in exhaust manifold (which you've replaced is seems). The second problem of bucking/lurching, backfiring under certain driving conditions I traced to the battery sliding into the computer wiring harness, disrupting sensor input / output signals. I cured this problem by placing a 1" spacer on rear battery clamp, pushing the battery forward. Been years and no return of problem.

Car jerks sometimes when going from P to R

It's the transmission sensor. I've had mine replaced three times now. You can fix it (see this thread: http://www.suzuki-forums.com/suzuki-forenza-reno-forum/35284-transmission-range-sensor-all-you-need.html) and please report it to Suzuki at 1-800-934-0934
