Question about Chrysler Crossfire
Heavy rain this weekend in Florida. When I went to drive my car, water came down from area just above my left window, where bend is for the top to come down. It happened on both sides. I have a 2005 Chrysler Crossfire Convertible SRT-6 version. Otherwise roof works fine. But the leak is a big problem. What can I do?

SOURCE: convertible leaks
Look for a plugged drain at both rear side panels. Water from the top can enter the car, but it is then discharged out thru drains. If the drains are clogged, you will have this problem. Same for any other Toyota convertible.

SOURCE: Chrysler Sebring Problem
along the buttom of the rocker pannel there is a seam that gets bent from jacking in the wrong place ,that seam is where the drains are, screw driver and pry apart at the drain ,the drain is a tube shaped bump molded in the steel on the inside part of rocker panel

Try using urethane sealant to redo the seal between the top and the glass.
I have a VW convertible that had the same problem. The sealant comes in a tube that you use in a caulk gun. Made by 3M and I purchased it from Advance Auto. About 18 bucks.

Water goes between the front and rear window and is supposed to go through a trough and drain out of the bottom of the car. often the drains along the bottom (4 very small slits) get clogged and water will back up into the floorboards. just drive a flat head screwdriver in these slits and it will let the water out! (watch out about 2 gallons came out of mine!)

Did you solve this problem? I have exactly the same issue with my convertible 97 900 particularly in this bad weather anyone in the front seats can expect to get soaked ! I would be grateful for any advice

Testimonial: "THX for the advise. I'd rather fix it - the car is in great shape, except for that nasty flooding issue. I can't replace the car for that price! THX"
