At startup, the airbag warning light comes on, goes off for a second and comes back on and stays on. Any solutions ?
Hello, I am having the same problem, But the dealer told me that most often a water bottle goes under the seat and when people pull it out they unplug the airbag, you may want to look at this first. resetting the sensors would be next, I am looking for that next.
Don't know the usefulness of this answer but I had/have the same problem, then I had an accident and the airbag deployed just fine. Had the car repaired and a new steering assembly installed but the light stays on. Manual says it could also be the seatbelt tension system. I have noticed that the seatbelt does not fully return to its proper position when I exit the car and sometimes close the door on the locking assembly of the belt. Might consider this
I have the same issue in a 2010 jetta tdi. Unfortunately for me, the traction control light and steering light came on as well. After 5 days in the shop, dealer replaced the Body Control Module. Made sense....now, 2 days later, the airbag light is on again.

Having same problem - no crash - air bag light on, dealer games, find solution to reset air bag module?
Out of no where after stopping and restarting Jetta the air bag warning light came on and stays on. Blinks once at start up then remains on. Either seat belts or air bag system issue but no way to find a code and trace to source. Want to reset manually and see if it happens again before spending good money after bad. How to reset (ctl alt delete) ecu or/and air bag module?
