You can change it yourself with a basic tool set. You may have to replace the radiator. Go to Youtube, and there's a step-by-step video on how to replace a radiator in your car.

SOURCE: radiator leaks

The easyest way for you to get that information and also so you have it there to look at for referance would be to get a good repair manual. It should not only have directions,it will have some pictures to guide you as well.

SOURCE: Where is the drain valve on 2002 dodge caravan radiator?

its a pitcock facing the cab bottom of the radiator, plastic flat. once you find the pitcock just put a bucket underneath and turn it.then refill. if you want to flush(run fluid thru to clean it out) the radiator id suggest taking it in. you dont have to flush it every time you change the coolant out.

SOURCE: Took it to mechanic after

there is an instruction video on u tube that shows where the sensor is an how to remove and replace it
for the saturn.. It isnt your vehicle but the same steps apply.. and its in the same place..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVTFFOwqNZM

the egr valve
here is a diagram showing where the valve is

http://autorepair.about.com/library/bl249lib.htm

That's not a very difficult job at all Phil. Here's what you need to do: REMOVAL:

  • Remove the air intake tube.
  • Disconnect the EGR valve wiring harness connector.
  • Remove the EGR valve attachment bolts and valve assembly. NOTE: Remove all loose deposits from the EGR inlet passage, otherwise they could clog the EGR valve.
INSTALLATION:
  • Install new EGR valve gasket. NOTE: Make sure gasket is installed correctly or a vacuum leak will occur.
  • Install EGR valve.
  • Install EGR valve attachment bolts. Tighten the bolts farly tight, but don't go overboard or you will strip the head.
  • Connect EGR valve wiring harness connector.
  • Inspect air inlet tube. Attach air inlet and tighten clamp.
  • Install fresh air hose.
  • Start engine and inspect for exhaust gas leaks.
Take your time it takes an hour or more to do..

2002 silhoutte new tstat, radiator, belts and hoses runs hot no water at bleeder valve water pump 2 yrs old

It is running hot because have an air lock in the system. Check that the bleeder valve is not blocked . Take a hose off that is high up and run the engine until water comes out . Replace the hose and check for water in the radiator. Open the heater system to help bleed out the air.. If that fails take it to a radiator s\hop and have them pressure bleed it.

No coolants circulation replace thermostat water pump and radiator builds up pressure quickley

Sometimes even the most skilled mechanic may overlook simple things. Check to see if thermostat is installed in correct position. Did you remember to bleed the intake manifold? There is a bleeder valve close to the upper hose going into the motor. Not sure where yours is. Also replace water reservoir cap or radiator cap. Check hoses for sturdiness. A damaged hose may collapse and prevent water from circulating.

Okay, radiators these days, as a rule, do not have bleeder screws, or drains. If you need to drain the old coolant, put a catch can under the lower radiator hose, and remove it slowly from the radiator. This will allow you to drain the coolant, most of it anyway. You can never get it all.

The bleeder is because the radiator is lower than the engine, have to crack the bleeder to let the trapped air out ,should see antifreeze come out ,not air.

How do i bleed my thermostat on a 2002 buick century custom

RUN ENGINE FILL WITH ANTIFREEZE AND THERE IS A BLEEDER SCREW ON BYPASS LINE/HOSE ON TOP OF ENGINE NEAR BELT. THERE MAY ALSO BE A BLEEDER ON THE THERMOSTATE HOUSING. CRACK OPEN BLEEDERS UNTIL ALL AIR COMES OUT.

I need to do a hydraulic brake system flush on my

Yes with care it is a simple process.

firstly it is unusual to fully flush. I think you mean bleed. Either way it is the same process.

I could explain but first try this. Go to the library get the shop manual. Ask for the Bentley version if possible. If not the Haynes version. If they don't have it they will get it from another branch (free). It is all in there.

Take care opening the bleeder valves as they are easy to break. Use a flare nut wrench if possible. If sticky use WD40. If they still don't open apply heat with a torch.

You need a helper. Do not press the brake all the way down when bleeding as you can damage the master cylinder. Push only half way.

In short

Open reservoir.
Starting with brake farthest from the master cylinder (usually rear passenger) working to nearest (front driver)
Attach tube to bleeder valve and run to container to catch fluid.
Press brake half way down.
Open bleeder valve on the brake and allow fluid to run out.
Close valve.
Release brake.
Repeat until constant clear flow of fluid.
Check the level in the reservoir frequently and keep above minimum mark at all times. Top to max when done.

Don't allow any fluid to get into the bake at any time it will ruin the pads and cost you $ to replace.
Thats it.

Open bleeder at slave. Push down on pedal and hold. Tighten bleeder and repeat until fluid is present. Then pump up and bleed remainder of air. Requires two people.

Upper radiator housing broke off

you can get a replacement at minimal cost at auto parts store like Napa or Oreillys. it is called the thermostat cover/housing. if you have broken bolts and there should be 2 of them you will have to remove them with a tool called easy outs. and replace the bolts.
