The condensate drain hose is off, this happened on our 03 Vibe. After putting the hose back on I removed the seats and carpeting to dry up the mess. If the hose is no off, it is plugged up, try a coat hanger wire to push out any debrie.

The hose is generally located on passenger side where floor & firewall meet (under heater). A passenger stretching most likely kicked it off. If you can not locate it from inside the car raise and block or jackstand the car (do not trust a jack) and look underneath the car. I am guessing the hose is about 5/8" in duameter and has a pinched end with a slot in it, to keep debris from entering. When water drains out it opens up. Hope this helps.

above comment should read diameter not duameter!

I looked for it inside the car and found nothing, a neighbor told the hose I might be looking for is in the engine bay, the thing is I just don't know how to locate it and thanks a lot for you insight you were very helpful

Toyota 2008 highlander water on rear center passenger floor. A/C drain outside passenger side draining.Seems to puddle on rear floor when A/C is on high and recirculating fresh air. Any clue? problem?

For water to pool on the floor with AC on should indicate a plugged evap drain tube. The tube will have to be inspected for kinks and debris lodged in it. It may be draining some of the water but not enough.

sounds like AC to me. Could be landing on a skid plate/splash shield and trailing toward the driver side.

You have a leaking heater core. You must remove the dash to replace it.Not a job for the unskilled home mechanic in most cases.

Pull up the carpet and see if the rubber plug in the bottom of the floor pan is in their or in their tightly (should not be loose) unless it is coming up higher from the firewall

leaking heater core or hose that feeds it. look for hoses that pass thru the firewall to passenger compartment. Most times the hose is clamped to a pipe at the firewall so you may just need a hose

Water on floor in back seat

sorry to say but it sounds like the heater core has a hole in it. it maybe easy to get to in order to replace it. check your coolant level, if low fill up run a while let cool and check water level again. or a costlier method would be to have a cooling system check, you can buy one at most auto part stores. you place the cap on radiator and put pressure on system if pressure goes down you have a definate leak. replace heater core. hope this helps
