Could be a coil pack ,if it was a older car then i would suspect a dirty idle jet and a faulty excess fuel pump ,maybe even a vacumn diaphram in the advance unit on the distributor ,but then again iam so old i remember lots of old things ,sorry i cannot help in this case

SOURCE: car shuts off when it stops

you may have a problem with you VSS sensor in your transmission which is usually the culprit when you drive your vehicle and come to a stop and your car stalls, and you can restart your car after the stop.

sounds like your clearnces are a little too tight, therefore when you are warming up the clearances are tightening, and the valve is staying slightly open

Intake manifold gasket is the most common cause of un-even idle.

IAC (Idle air control) motor is a small motor that adjust the idle.
In a cold AM,start up the car and turn on headlght, high beam,ac and radio.

Look for the IAC to see does it back down the idle as you shut off one item as a time.

IAC can be lube and save.

check to see if there is any carbon on the throttle body where the butterfly contacts it. also clean the " business end" of the idle air valve to make sure it's not being held open slightly.

If you pull the connector off your TPsensor, and with multimeter in ohms, touch it to 2 of the pins (not sure which 2 on yours but trial & error will tell you & won't hurt anything if your wrong.) Have someone either hold the probes for you, or push gas pedal slowly for you, ( can do it manually from under hood to.). As the throttle increases (opens) the reading on the meter will do the same, then back down slowly and meter reading will do the same. Run it from stop to wide open, slowly & steadily, and back the same way a few times & observe the meter reading. If the meter goes up & down at a steady reading and doesn't jump a bunch or flutter, then chances are your TP sensor is fine. A jump from one number to another or erratic readings, indicates a faulty TPsensor. (Potentiometer) If it has a sticky or bad spot in the TPsensor, it feeds wrong or no info to computer, thus car acts up.

Uneven oe irregular idle speed when warm

If the car has the original PCV valve, it's overdue for replacement. If not, PCV valves are inexpensive and easy to replace, therefore you can give it a try. However, a faulty valve and accompanying vacuum issues will usually cause a rolling, or somewhat rough idle. Once tested and eliminated or replaced, if you still have a low idle condition continue reading.

The Idle Air Control motor (inside the throttle body) controls idle using a variety of inputs through the Powertrain Control Module. Rough idle and stalling most often occur when the idle speed drops below normal rpm. This can be caused by an issue with any one of the inputs which control idle through the PCM or a problem with the Idle Air Control motor. Let me know how things work out for you on this. Good luck.
