Afraid so. The sensor in the old switch read the chip and communicated to the computer that it was good to go. Without the chip or the sensor, I doubt if your computer will work. Check with a dealer to be sure.

The dealer replace the time chaim and i put new stater motor and new battery i have problem to start, after 3 or 4 time when i tund the key start

Probably bad ignition switch where the key is. OR the line connecting to the starter solenoid terminal (small). Or could be a bad relay between the ignition switch and the starter solenoid terminal. Could be a bad starter solenoid, Yes, several instances of bad starter solenoids.

2006 grand vitara will not start and solenoid will not click. Battery is fine.

you mean it wont crank, no car starts with a dead starter. unless push started.
wiggle the shifter lever, that is the PRN switch if the switch lies
and shows not Park the starter will be dead by DESIGN.
you can hot wire any starter solenoid and see if the starter works at any time.
if it does , the its not the starter, its the key line.
the key switch creates the key line signal. and goes to tranny then starter. if this line opens for ANY reasons, the stater (even good) will never crank.
this is to prevent , the old Audi lady from running over her kids.
it can be defeated. you can ever add an "override switch)
many do after seeing $200 PRN switch, dang.
ok you are impowered, (sorry so late )

Replace old starter with new but still car won't start

Have you checked the stater solenoid (located on the top of the starter motor) wire for 12+ volts when the key is held in the crank position, do that first, you may have a defective starter switch.

Im putting a new computer in my 98 cadillac eldorado etc is there a way i can bypass the passlock system so i can drive the car to the dealership instead of having it towed

Yes there is your alarm system only disable starter,There is a chip on the key, If you know the resistance of the chip you can just put a resistor in place, If not jujmp the starter, with key on in park E-brake on someone there making sure you dont get ran over if the car ever started in gear,Now if the anti theft is one of the top line type find the relay put a toothpick in there to keep the relay switch close and off you go

95 regal wont start change the stater no change change the ignition switch on the colum no change what could it be

The security light is on or flashing? Your key is the one you always have uned or is it different? The key has a black chip near the handle, Is it clean? The wires that it connectes to are right inside the lock is it clean and not buggered by the wrong key or other object? The wires that come off this connection break near the lock.( flex every time you turn the key) A scanner connected to the car will pick the problem. Rember that the car starts in neutral and park both but not in gear this switch on top of the tranny fails and sometimes it'll work in neutral. Jumper wire at starter makes it crank? with key on start. Crank and not start your back to the security system. Cars plenty old enought to fail
