I KEEP ADDING ANTIFREEZE TO MY 1994 300ZX AND IT RUNS GREAT BUT AFTER ABOUT 3 WEEKS STARTS RUNNING HOT AND IS BONE DRY AGAIN I AM NEWLY DIVORVCED AND DONT HAVE A CLUE BUT AFRAID OF GETTING RIPPED OFF

Sounds like your water pump is bad and leaking, causing it to run hot.It is recommended to get a new timing belt when replacing water pump, these prices are without timing belt change. For the dealer's price is 555.00,for repair shop is 428.00,and for you to do it is 72.00,take door number 3.

My Mitsubishi Endeavor (2005) has run 60000 miles. I am going to change Timing Belt. Is Water Pump actuated by the Timing Belt ? So does it make sense to change the Water Pump at the same time? Thanks in...

Yes indeed, the water pump is driven by the timing belt on this vehicle and you would be well advised to change it and the idlers while you are at it. You can get timing belt kits for this vehicle that include the belt, 2 idlers and the water pump. In the UK, the kit is priced at about £70

Do I have to remove the timing belt to change the water pump?

the water pump is not driven off the timing belt, so no u just change the pump and leave the belt alone. here is the part number and price for the pump.

I was told that my Water Pump has a slight leak and I have to change the pump and Inlet tube. The cost is 525. Is this price good? There is no evidence of physical leak but I have to add coolant veery week

That's ridiculous. Look at your cap that covers the reservoir, the seal under these caps get weakened and allow water to drip out or even sometime spew out. The cap is about $6, Even change your hose out you still will only pay $16 each for the hoses. The pump is maybe $45 and rest of it is labor. They are trying to get a ripoff. Maybe right price in your state but not here. Be careful, they say this needs to be changed but in reality it will never get changed but a different cheaper part will be changed to fix your problem for this high amount.

Water leak from water pump

No the timing belt does not have to be changed but you do have to remove it to get to the water pump so i would recommend that you do so and also replace the tensioner, i can't tell you a price because i don't where you are i am South Carolina and the parts alone for t-belt ,water pump and tensioner are about 150.00$ cost from Ford (list is a bit higher) and about 3.5 to 4.0 hrs labor at a shop

Replace water pump cost

the time to replace is 3.8 hours. multiply this by the shop flat rate and this will give you a labor rate. call some local parts houses to find the price on the pump, dodge gets around 98dollars hope this helps, depending on when you last changed the timing belt you ight want consider doing this at this time as it has to come off to change the water pump. this is an interference engige if the belt breaks it will damage the valves, you should only have to pay for the belt. hope this helps if not ghet back tome and i'll try to help you further. please rate my fix, as i strive to the best Thanks Ray
