2003 bmw 525i e39 check engine light not working when I turn the key to ignition position i check the bulb is working And I used the diagnostic scanner no fault code Any solution

The vehicle's ECU is not getting required power. It does not mean that the ECU is faulty but the faulty fuse can be the problem. Inspect the fuse and replace them if necessary.

    I test all the fuse in the car
    All fine no problem
    Most the people here tell me ECU problem I'm not sure ill try to send my ECU for test or try another one

check that the immobilizer is operational ( fob key battery)
check for broken timing belt/chain

My wife bought a 2003 bmw 525i and the odometer/rpm cluster and all other gauges, indicator warning lights do not work, they light up when headlights are on but brakelights/turn signals not working


oddly enough, check the wheel speed sensors. there are 4. the fronts are the same the backs are the same but the fronts are not the same as the back.

95 bmw 525i no dash lights no tach no tremp gauge and fuel gauge pegged way past full


Why was the battery missing to begin with? I would start by checking all fuses under dash and Central hub. Check for burned in-line fuses,if any, coming off of battery cables.

Did you check the cranck shaft pulley. It has a rubber inner and when this parish it does not turn and the sensor cant read the pulley

Can 2008 BMW 528i ignition coils be used for 2003 BMW 525i


According to my cross reference,the coil for 2008 528i is the same as 2003 525i.

You should use the same brand of coil so the internal resistance is the same.
