This is going to depend a lot on the engine and what kind of vehicle.
For the most part, it should be "doable".
Some V-6 engines require taking the front motor mounts loose and "rocking" the engine forward to get to the plugs in the back.
Make sure to put a piece of tape with plug number or some way to know exactly which plug wire goes on which plug.
Hope this was somewhat helpful.

Car is starting then stops, optra 2009, but when race is kept accelerated it stays started, but the moment it is released car stops

Hello
The engine and automatic transmission in this vehicles drive train are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM (Power Train Control Module). Whenever a problem like this or other drive-ability related problems occurs the computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM

YOU NEED TO BUY CORRECT SIZE NEW OIL DRAIN PLUG. YOU TO KNOW YOUR THREAD SIZE ON NEW OIL DRAIN BECAUSE YOU NEED THE RIGHT TAP AND DRILL BIT TO CENTER DRILL THE BROKE BOLT IN SIDE OIL PAN YOU NEED A CENTER PUNCH TO PUNCH A SMALL ENOUGH TO START THE DRILL BIT DEAD CENTER OF BROKE BOLT.OIL PAN NEED TO BE REMOVED TO DRILL HOLE STRAIGHT.THIS IN NOT A EASY JOB.EITHER YOU REPAIR OR DAMAGED OIL PAN DRAIN PLUG HOLE. YOU DRILL BIT HAS TO STRAIGHT WHILE DRILLING HOLE DEAD CENTER OF BROKEN BOLT YOU NEED TO MEASURE LENGHT OF OIL DRAIN PLUG BOLT. THEN USE A PIECE TAPE ON DRILL BIT WRAP A PIECE TAPE AROUND DRILL BIT THE DEPT YOU NEED TO DRILL THROUGH BOLT. LIKE I SAY THIS JOB TAKE SKILL AND A STRAIGHT HAND. BECAREFUL WITH DRILL AND WEAR SAFETY GOGGLES. DONT DO THIS FIX IF YOU NOT SURE OF MECHANIC SKILLS YOU WILL EITHER DAMAGE THE OIL PAN OR FIX THE PROBLEM.

How hard is it to change a glow plug in a 2003 chevy silverado 2500HD diesel? and a non mechanic guy like me do it. The down turn in my $ is requiring new skills.

Hi there !

If you know which one is bad and you are sure about it, I would say you can just take it off and put new one in. The same way you take the old one off is the same way you gonna put new one in, Its easy and you don't need skills to do it as long as you know what a Glow plug is and where it is.

Good luck bro

The valve cover gasket isn't hard to change. Oil on the plugs indicates a more serious problem. Smoke from the exhaust would be from rings, rich mixture, worn valve guides. It may be that the engine is overfull (that would show on the stick). Oil loss from a leaking gasket would smoke under the hood and leave oil on the engine and the ground.

Water pump leaking

Unless your mechanically inclined, this is a tough fix if you need to replace your water pump. Your water pump is located underneath your timing belt cover (4cyl models) and basically have to have skills to get to it. These skills include removing motor mount bolt and jacking up the engine to get access to bolts that need to be removed. Unless you have decent mechanical skills, you're better off leaving it to the pros. I own a 96 Accord 4cyl 2.2L VTEC and I've done it, only because I needed to replace my timing belt.

Procedure to r&r oil pump

To remove the oil pump you will need to drop the oil pan to gain access to the oil pump. Difficulty depends on what engine is in the van and clearances available to remove the pan. But, basically an easy process if you have any mechanical skills and the correct tools for the process.
Be sure to prime the new oil pump before you install it or start the engine.

The Sepentine belt broke on my wife's 2003 Passat. Is this something that I can repair myself, or do I need to take it to a dealer?

You should be able to do this yourself if you have some mechanical skills. The belt routing diagram is on the hood or radiator core support. It is a fairly easy install that take very basic tools.
