Eric, why was a hole drilled? Only trying it on your chevy will tell you if ok or ruined.

Well it isn't my car but I finally fixed it..my wife locked the key in the car and it wasnt able to be hooked to a keychain cuz the part that hooks broke so the person who unlocked the car for her drilled a hole for her to hook it not knowing a chip was in it..but I bought another key and reprogrammed it..all is good

Starter stays engaged on my 06 Chevy Malibu

There are a few possibilities...
  1. Starter improperly shimmed and is biding to flywheel.
  2. Starter or flywheel teeth worn causing binding (not likely)
  3. Starter solenoid return spring broken.
  4. Ignition switch problem causing starter to stay powered after key released.

2010 Malibu key wont go into ignition switch

The tumblers may have collapsed. In which case you would have to replace the switch. They can be replaced if you can get the key in.. If you get a replacement you can try forcing it, if it locks up you will have to drill it out to get it replaced.

I have no keys and i was givin a chevy s10 blazer. how do i get the ignition cylinder out?

It has to be drilled out. Use a 3/8 " drill bit and try to stay down the center of it. What your trying to do is get a big enough hole in it to get the key pins out You have to drill it about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 " deep, the start wallowing it out.

Replaceing freeze plugs in the back of a side motor in a 2001 chevy malibu

1) Drain all coolant from the engine/radiator.
2) Drill a hole in the old plug to allow you to thread a lag bolt, which will then be used to pull the old plug out. Or use whatever means you can to remove the old freeze plug.
3) Thoroughly clean the hole with a wire brush attached to a drill motor.
4) Apply sealant to new freeze plug and locate into the hole.
5) Tamp the plug into the hole, flush with the block, with a hammer.
6) Refill radiator with coolant.
7) Check for leaks.

This isn't going to be easy with the engine in the car, but it can be done.

A bolt broke inside a 1981 chevy truck how do i get it out?

Where did it break? Can you get to it with a drill?

Drill a hole approximately half the size of the bolt smack in the centre of the broken bolt, take an allen key that fits snugly in the hole, tap in down firmly into the hole and turn the alen key as if it were a normal spanner.
