Question about 2006 Nissan Quest 3.5
Okay so our van has about 100,00 miles on it and on the way home from a trip we drove about 3000 miles total on, the ambient temp sensor will go up to 108 and then the internal temp gauge will go from up from its half way mark it usually levels out at to the 3/4 mark. It does this when I stop for a couple of minutes and then take off again. It will go back down slowly but it is doing it often now. The oil and coolant are both full. Can you tell me what would cause this?

SOURCE: nissan pathfinder overheating
Could be a list of things.
Thermostat could be sticking, radiator fan may not be pulling enough air thru the radiator, problem with the exhaust system, and so on.
It depends on when it happens and the conditions.
