Question about Honda Cars & Trucks
The dome light and lights on switch and wires fell into the hole in the frame and I can't seem to fish it out. How do I get it out? Is there a panel I can take off to reach it? I have a 2004 Honda Civic.

Testimonial: "Thanks. Tried that. Seems to be more internal than that. Actually seems to be surrounded by metal. Potentially frame? "

insert a flay eyeglass scrwdriver in between the plastic lens and base, pry gently , the lens will pop out... u should see the small sections where to insert the screwdriver to pry off the lens

you must carefully pop off the door plastic clips using a screwdriver and prying gently until they pop out , also remove the screws under any small round plastic screw cover inserts and in the plastic door handle area

Look on the sides of the dome light and look for a tiny little notch in the plastic. Take a screwdriver and gently pry at the notch and it should just pop out

the cover is removed straight down, slowly working it with a thin tool or butter knife. WD40 to front and rear edge (there's nothing medial or lateral). The cover has 2 Y clips on each side, one about half way, and one that clips straight off of the hinge post. There are no "tabs". It will eventually unclip straight down. Then can replace with a DE3175 LED bulb (V-LEDs.com)

My power locks, windows didn't work and the dome lights would not turn off after closing the door. I removed the black boot that was attached to the drivers door by lifting upward and pulling away from the door. A heavy gauge black wire was broken. I removed about 3/16" of insulation from both ends of the broken wire and connected them by using a connector that both ends are placed in to and then "crimped" both ends so the broken wire made contact with each other and everything worked perfectly! The hardest part was replacing the boot. Total cost to fix is $0.50.
