Question about 1999 Kia Sportage
Do all the sparkplugs fire at once and the injectors fire in sequence and if so how does the obd detect misfire on a cylinder?
No engine fires all spark plugs at one time.
Ever see an engine that has all pistons come up
at the same time, won't work designed like that
Injectors fire along with the plugs!!
You'll have to access a factory diagnostic
manual, if you want to know the misfire detection
strategy for your motor.
Could ask that question using Google or study
your motor on the internet

if it is a misfire, then that means it is probably the plug or the wire, change those first, if not then yes check the injector.

do a compression test. cylinder 3 could have a bad valve lifter or valve.kia sephia dont have push rods.it have a bucket type followers.a intake leak to that cylinder can also cause misfire problems.
