That is usually a fused circuit. Have you checked the fuse?

Lost current communication with fuel injector control module

Lost current communication with fuel injector control module ? Would you like to try and explain that a little better ? Lost communication with Engine computer PCM/ECM ? A scan tool won't talk with the PCM / ECM ? What type scan tool ? Can your scan tool talk with any other control module on the vehicle ? BCM , EBCM , SRS etc... if you know what those are ? Or current , are you talking about electrical current ? I know I only have thirty years experience as automotive Tech . I need terms that I can relate to .

2000 Chevy S-10 Pickup smoking (GRAY) you can smell gas , its like it lost power and aint getting full gas pressure.

I had to give it gas sometimes for it to start ? Stepping on the gas pedal does not give it gas till it starts . Pushing on the accelerator pedal while cranking gives it more air , not fuel , untill it starts an is running . It has electronic fuel injection . Your vehicle is flooding out . running rich .

DTC P0200 Injector Control Circuit

Circuit Description
The powertrain control module (PCM) has four fuel injector driver circuits, each of which controls a fuel injector. The PCM monitors the current in each driver circuit and is able to control the driver circuit. The current through each driver can rise to a peak of 2 amps to quickly open the fuel injectors and can reduce to 1/2 amp to hold the fuel injectors open. This is called peak and hold. If the current cannot reach a 2 amp peak, a DTC is set. This DTC is also set if an fuel injector driver is shorted to voltage.

An injector driver circuit that is open or shorted to voltage will cause a DTC P0200 to set and will also cause a misfire due to an inoperative injector. The misfire DTC should also be set indicating a misfire.
Long Term and Short Term FT that are excessively high or low are a good indication that an injector is malfunctioning. Refer to Sequential Multiport Fuel Injector Balance Test to test for malfunctioning injectors.

1997 ford expedition 190k miles. Engine was missing. code said it was miss firing in the third cylinder. Replaced all ignition coils and sprak plugs also fuel pump. After 100 miles it started with the same...

It could be a bad computer that doesn't fire the fuel injector on that cylinder. Or, the fuel injector is clogged on that cylinder.

The fuel injector should have a telltale click when listening to it operating on that cylinder, and it should also make a noid light blink indicating current is getting to the fuel injector, when the fuel injector harness is connected to a noid light.

Good luck on this repair.

My fuel pump has got power but doesnt work

Replace fuel filter and fuel sock. Even if fuel pump runs does not mean it is building pressure, needs to build 30 to 50 PSI, if it will not hold pressure for 30 seconds the pump is still bad. The pump supplies the pressure for the injectors and the injectors are operated by electrical impulse when injector opens if the fuel pressure is not high enough it will not push fuel threw the pintal of the injector.

Fuel injectors won't open

Wow! an '82. Nifty. Yes, it could be a grounding problem. The older systems used injectors that draw a lot of current. Especially check grounding between the fuel 'computer' box and the engine. Physically/visually check terminals or use a light bulb tester. A volt-ohmmeter is not reliable when checking high current circuits because it doesn't demand high current flow.

I saw the exact type of thing on an older BMW not long ago.

Cylinders filling with gas

No it cannot. Most likely ur vehcile is EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection), which means that current must be floweing for the injectors and the fuel pump to be working. The pump allows the flow of fuel.
