Usually a sign the throttle plate is stuck open, or you have a huge vac leak somewhere.

Fuel or air restrictions. Filters first, then look at the catalytic converters.

Only runs full throttle

Disconnect the MAF sensor and see if it changes rpm's. Pull off the big boot at the intake. Is the throttle valve wide open? If it is, the throttle body assembly needs cleaning-maybe it is stuck?

No one has an idea about the 1995 mustang

Half throttle or less? Then the demands for full throttle are missing,How is the air filter?Check the air filter it may be plugged. And at more open throttle you need more fuel. You may want to service the fuel filter,At full open throttle the vehicle needs to breath and it also needs to exhale. These two component are just the start for a function inspection If these two serviceable componenet are met,and you still have this problem we can move from this and remedy the situation form a plugged exhaust to a TPS having a bad swipe. Also try a airflow sensor cleaning with the MAF (Mass air flow)

My Escape skips and runs rough when running in full throttle.

Hello! I suspect the Throttle Positioning Sensor (TPS) is not reaching full voltage at full throttle...It can be tested to validate it as the faulty component...Do you have a volt meter and are you comfortable taking a couple readings? If so, the TPS is bolted to the throttle body...It has a three wire connector with the following wire colors...Brown/White...Orange...And Gray/White...Set the meter to read 5 volts...Push a safety pin into the rear of the in-place connector on the Gray/White wire...Another into the rear of the connector on the Brown/White wire...Connect the + probe of the meter to the Gray/White...And the - to the Brown/White...Start the engine...At idle meter should read less then 1 volt (.85)...Increase throttle to full...Meter should read 4 volts...Also, as you are increasing the throttle meter must rise to 4 volts smoothly...If reading jerks or acts erratic the TPS is defective...Below is a picture of the TPS...Cost is around $40...

99 jeep starts but runs at full throttle

Make sure that the throttle cable is not damaged or binding and that the throttle plate in the throttle body is clean and closing fully. Also check all vacuum hoses for breaks and good connections and that the idle air control motor (next to the throttle position sensor on the throttle body is working.

Look under the hood. Look for the throttle body .The accelerator cable is attached to it. The cable housing anchor is broken and not letting it return to idle speed.. Use a portion of a clothes hanger to
secure the cable housing to the throttle body.
