ENGINE SPUTTERING WHEN I GET ON THE GAS PEDAL, NOT ALL THE TIME JUST WHEN I PUNCH IT.

Spark plugs also cause an engine to sputter when oil has come into contact with the spark plug well. One diagnoses this by testing the spark plugs and visually inspecting the well. If the car is fuel injected, a blocked or malfunctioning fuel injector might be causing the problem.

Chevy uplander going uphill sputters and check engine light blinks multiple times?

Usually a sputter will occur under load conditions like going up hill from a lack of fuel. Start by changing the fuel filter.

You need to rebuild the carburetor or clean the choke linkage and make sure the choke valve closes cold.

It could be moisture yes, could be electrical if the wires and plugs are older they will crack and in humid or rainy weather they would be worse-or when they are cold.

In drive mostly and idle it sputters and as no power i have a new fuel filter not on yet but engine light finally came on after i got gas today was on emty

Check your engine oil and please put the new fuel filter on. Do not let your tank get empty if possible because you will get sediment from the bottom of your tank and clog up you fuel filter and cause the car to sputter or cut off. Make sure your gas cap is on tight after putting gas in you car. The leading cause of the check engine light is a loose gas cap according to car shops. Good Luck

Engine Clugs and Sputter while driving up a hill

Check the fuel filter to see if it is plugged.
Remove the fuel filter, and blow air through it in the normal direction of fuel flow. You should be able to blow through it very easily. If it feels restricted, try blowing through it the opposite way, and if there is a lot of dirt coming out, you have found a common cause of this problem. Hope this helps.

Pressure buildup in the gas tank which causes the car to sputter and die unexpectedly.

I have never seen or heard such thing. You have a different problem. Is the "check engine light on?" Gas tanks have pressure in them on regular bases and I have never seen car sputtering because of a pressure in the gas tank.
