Question about 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer
I have to turn the key over anywhere from 25-50 times to start the car.I've tested the battery it's good,I checked all my fuses their good too.All my grounds are good, and when I turn the key over I can hear the fuel pump activate so I don't think that's it either.Someone said that it maybe the ignition I just don't know. Can you please help?
The most common cause for no crank is the neutral safety switch.
On automatic trans cars it keeps you from cranking the engine in drive or reverse. On manual trans cars you have to push the clutch in.
I would want to know if the starter is getting power from the key switch when the switch is in the start position.

Locate the fuse box. Facing the engine, the box is located on the the right fender. The fuel pump fuse should be labeled, The fuel pump relay is Incorporated in the FI relay located under right center of dash. It is a metal relay usually bolted to the floor near the ecm. Good luck and hope this helps but first replace the the fuel filter since it's the easiest thing to do.

It sounds like you have a bad ground or short somewhere
you will need to get it to a good mechanic thats good with electrical troubleshooting

check fuses and fuel pump relay, and sometimes a simple bump or jolt or short can set off the fuel pump safety switch and is usually locates in the trunk hidden or glove box.

did you have the battery light on when the car was running
try a new battery see if that solves it if not then it is the alternator
