Grinding noise when starting '98 Izuzu Rodeo

I recently bought a '98 Izuzu Rodeo (sorry for not knowing the engine size). Last week while driving home it started to make a grinding noise. I was able to get the car to limp home. Now when I start the car, it starts to make the grinding noise after a few seconds. Ignition is strong, and when the grinding noise starts the engine will cut off after a few seconds. Will upload a video to see if that will help.

SOURCE: grinding noise about 30 seconds after starting

Sounds like starter isn't disengaging, get that checked pronto, you could be damaging the flywheel (very expensive). Could be any appliance also; a/c compressor, idler pully, alternator, etc. Don't wait.

SOURCE: car won't start but makes a grinding noise like when the car is started already

This sounds like a damaged starter drive gear and engine flywheel gear.

Have a 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee used cruise control last week made a grinding noise I turned it off truck went slow for a few now it will not accelerate past 50mph what could be wrong?

Nothing in the cruise control system to make a grinding noise. It is electronic or maybe with yours vacuum controlled. Or a little of both. This could just be coincidental. If it did die, it wouldn't keep you from going faster than fifty. Have the engine and transmission codes read.

I have a 2000 Isuzu Rodeo in which the clutch pedal went to the floor & stayed there. Upon inspection, the clutch master cylinder was empty on fluid. I filled the reservoir & bleed the clutch...

It sounds as if you have 2 problems here.

The fact that the clutch pedal went to the floor and stayed there suggest a fault in the master cylinder. It may be that you need to overhaul the master cylinder.

Overhaul kits are available at less cost than a clutch master cylinder:

The grinding noise ... A grinding noise would be caused by either the gear not engaging properly because of the defective clutch.

Or, if it is more of a squealing noise - that may be the clutch release bearing at fault.

Are you absolutely sure that your entire clutch unit - pressure plate, driven plate and release bearing aren't worn?

Where is the thermostat on a 98 izuzu rodeo v6

Generally, it's where the upper radiator hose meets the engine block.
