Heater core is out. Careful you will run low on coolent. Befor replacing you can try a clothes hanger and stick up the drain hose on passenger side firewall work up and down and see if it is stoped up. good luck.

Where do i put in th recharge coolent for the

There are 2 service valves on this modl of escort, one located on the right hand side of the radiator as you face the engine and one located next to the accumulator by the firewall on the passengers side. The high pressuresde is the one to the right of the radiator, and the suction side is close to the accumulator on the passengers side. Put freon in the passenger side next to the accumulator. The high pressure side is strictly for checking the head pressure, do not try to put freon in that side. Look for around 40 psi on the low side .. There are more technical ways to do this but this will get you into the right area. If you don't have a guage, add freon until the fan clutch quits cycling at fast idle.
