What is the problem? Does it work constantly? Does it fail to work? Does it only work in certain areas? Does it only work when it is cold?

Dustin, Sound like vacuum loss to position switch. Defrost is the default position when vacuum is lost in vent control system. Check any and all vacuum lines and connections under hood first, especially any that run through firewall. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

Rear defrost won't shut off sometimes causing battery to drain and radio to stop working.

You can try changing the heated backlite relay in the fuse panel, relay R04, to see if the relay is causing this. You can use the trailer tow battery change relay for testing with ( relay R05 ).

2000 Ford F150--My defrost drains power from engine!

your a/c is going to run on defrost that is normal. but the if the noise is coming from the comp then you have bearings or clutch going out on your compress. if you want to delete the comp buy a belt for your truck with out a/c and see if you can make it fit sometimes you can do this.

Ac blows through defroster on max

The Climate control system in your truck has a gate that changes postition in order to change the flow of air from your face to defrost. The door is actuated by vacuum. Yours is still working otherwise it would be on defrost all the time. So you do have partial vacuum to the actuator but not enough to keep it in position when on high. Sounds like you have a vacuum leak but not bad enough (yet) to totally disable the gate.

Why does the ac on my 2003 ford f150 blow through the defroster

Most likely it is a vacuum problem. That's what controls the air flow flaps.

I repaired this problem on my 1998 F150 4.6L. It had a bad vaccum line between the vaccum check valve and the vaccum storage tank. The vaccum check valve is located between the battery and the firewall. The vaccum storage tank is attached to the rear of the battery case.
