I will not advice you to do that. Why not trade in your manual and get another car that is automatic? This is because it is okay to convert an automatic to a manual gear but it is not adviceable to do the other way.

what box?? gear box are described as tranny, differential and steering box. if steering is leaking check the seals at input shaft or bottom replacement is nessary but can be done pretty easy and cheap too. if leaking from hose then you looking as a hydraulic hose like $80 or so..

At least every 60,000 miles. More if you carry heavy loads or live in mountainous country or do allot of stop and go driving
