SOURCE: Ford ka engin oil

You really need an inspection pit as the car needs to be level. Unscrew filler cap from front face of gearbox ( carefull though as there is a blanking cap as well and it is the one furthest from engine) The oil level should be between 5mm and 10mm below bottom edge of filler plug)

SOURCE: oil leak in 1998 olds intrigue

pull the valve cover gaskets, clean them and replace them, there is no cheater way to do this. To pin point leak you'l need to look closely at the covers if oil is running down the sides towards front or back of motor (theres 2 covers, one front, one rear) if it is, you may be able to tighten bolts, but be careful not to strip them. If they are tight, youl need to change the cover gaskets

SOURCE: Engine oil get less every two weeks in my pajero 4m40

Diesels do lose a little oil out the blow-by tube. If the engine temp. is higher then normal then you will lose more then normal amounts. If you are not leaking it then you are burning it, Possibly worn rings, head-gasket, or oil leak inside turbo. 68 MPH and higher doesn't sound unusual, is the engine still stock?

I HAVE A FORD BANTAM 2003 MODEL ROCAM ENGINE ITS LEAKING OIL AROUND THE GEAR BOX I CAN'T REALLY LOCATE WHERE IT IS LEAKING FROM AND IF ITS EITHER THE ENGINE OIL OR THE GEAR BOX OIL.

Gear oil is thicker and smells different than motor oil. If you have to continuously add motor oil to the engine, then it's likely the rear crankshaft seal is leaking. Check the rocker covers too.

2007 ford explorer sport trac 4.0 v6 all 3 spark plugs on passenger side are coated in oil doesn't smoke 2nd set of plugs in 3 months driver side plugs are fine im tired of guessing anyone know?

comment exactly what you mean when you say --covered in oil
1-- is they covered in oil on the outside around the insulator and wires/ coils
2-- are the center electrodes black with oil and misfiring
if it the outside then replace the rocker cover gasket or if the plugs are recessed into the rocker cover , replace the oil seal under the plug tube in the rocker cover

Leaks oil from rocker cover. repaired 3 times. is this a common fault? what is the solution?

The rocker cover will leak oil..............

1. If the rocker cover has been damaged due to poor mechanical fitment and is no longer perfectly straight; or
2. The rocker cover bolts are not torqued evenly at the correct ft/lbs specification; or
3. If the rocker cover bolts have been excessively torqued in which event the cover will distort and the gasket will be excessively compressed; or
4. The gasket is in poor condition and needs to be renewed; or

5. The gasket fitting is sloppy done in which event you can assume the cover will not have been properly fitted either.

I would be buying a new rocker cover (or a straight used one) before doing the next repair because your original is probably deformed now and will likely never seal properly.

2002 ford escort zx2... its leaking oil bad..., no

You have to be more specific on where the oil is leaking from. It could be a hole in the oil pan, or a rocker cover gasket. It could be the rear crank shaft seal. Not knowing this information makes it hard to help.

Oil leaking onto exhaust

A common cause is the rocker/valve cover gasket leaking. This can be due to age, over tightened clamping screws, or loose clamping screws; or the PCV system isn't working properly and the pressure under the cover too high as a result.
