SOURCE: Removal of broken wheel studs on 2004 saturn ion

The studs are pressed in and you need to use a big (mini sledge) hammer to knock them out. It will take a couple of good blows to push them out. To install the new ones, push the stud in from the back as far as it will go. Put some washers over the stud so that about 4 threads are present and lubricate the threads with bearing grease. Put your wheel nut on the stud and start to tighten the nut to the washers. This will pull the stud through so that the splined section will engage the hub assembly. Put more washers on if needed. Hope this helped.

SOURCE: Front wheel stud broke off

Knuckle needs to be removed and the center hub 'pressed out' using a hydraulic press (accepted procedure). You can avoid this by using an air hammer and disk cutting tool to remove the old stud, then trim the 'stop flange' on the new stud (1/4 moon cut) in order to install it.... however, you gotta know what you're doing so you don't compromise the integrity of the new stud.

grind a flat spot on the round head of the new stud this should give enough clearance to install it. don't pull the hub this will damage the bearing.

Replace right front wheel stud

If it is just one stud,it's best to leave it be,I have a 85 Nissan 4x4 and one stud is stripped and I have a repair manual and with it being a 4x4,there is a lot of parts to be remove to get to the stud and it may effect my 4x4ing if something doesn't go back just right.I found a repair guide for yours but it doesn't go into detail. It's best to have a repair manual for this so you will know how everything goes back.

I want to remove the front brake rotor from my 2000 gmc 4x4 3500. It looks like I have to remove the outer hub used to attach the wheels and also remove the spindle nut. After the 8 nuts and the spindle...

U use an air hammer with a pointy tool in it. Then u drive the lug studs out. The hub and rotor mate using the knurled area of the lug studs.

How to replace front broken wheel stud on a '02 jeep grand limited 4x4...steps involve to replace the bolt with a new one? thanks!

Remove wheel, brake caliper and rotor. Give the broken lug a good shot with a decent weight hammer and drive it out of the hub flange. Put new stud into hole, place a stack of washers on it and place the lug nut on backwards (flat side in)
Use oil on the threads to prevent binding, tighten lug 'till stud is seated, replace everything you removed.

Having trouble with the removal fo the front rotor

soak around the hub and wheel studs with penetrating oil use a large hammer and a round punch work around the center of the rotor between the wheel studs until it pops free you can subtitute hammer and punch for an air chisel and round hammer head bit if available. don't hit the face of the rotor if your trying to save it.
