try haynes.com or your local parts store for a Haynes manual.  For around $20 they are frequently as good or better for home mechanic than factory manuals for $100.

SOURCE: Hissing sound from brake pedal of Renault Scenic 2001

Hi,
From your description this appears to be a Brake servo issue.
The brakes are assisted by a vacuum created from the draw off the inlet manifold, it gives assistance too the brake pedal pressure by a large tank/cylinder mounted on the Bulkhead/firewall.
I feel that the sound you a hearing is air being draw into the Brake Servo from the foot pedal seal and the reason for fluctuation in the engine is the vacuum from the inlet manifold is being upset.
Attention I suspect should be addressed to the Brake servo/pedal seal or gaitor.
I hope this clarifies your thoughts?
Please remember to rate my effort.

SOURCE: Hard Brake pedal in '93 Dodge Caravan

Is the engine also running poor such as tries to stall or the RPM is high? Is there an unusual suction type sound? Check the vacum hose to the brake booster, if loose, cracked or a hole in it.
This is about a 1/2" diameter hose and goes to the booster from the engine for power brake assist.

My 1994 isuzu 250 brake went hard i replaced the pipes new booster new altenator with pump now brakes is better but when i am in traffic stop go after while no brakes please hel

no country stated, no car stated.
no engine stated, petrol or diesel.
below is my wild and useless guess ,its petrol.
Power assist brakes work off a base of manual brakes.
my wild guess 2 is KB truck, in Africa

this next line means with booster off line
(hose plugged, and pulled)
do the base manual brakes work or not.??????????????
this is first. and a big safety issue.
is this hard to understand.?
is this your first brake job?
how the manuals work 101:
using up to 100 lbs of (man) force on the brake pedal; can get you 600 psi force at the rear of the mc, (and 4 time more at front calipers)
the pedal is 6:1 ratio, (approx)
the MC piston to the slaves (ratio) the front caliper pistons are huge (4:1), and 6x4=24:1 total . 24x100 is 2400 lbs, from you foot to pads.
the cars stops great like this.
assist only lighten the pedal load, needed.
allows 50 lb girl to drive car, or my pet chimp.
or old skinny grand ma , to church...

these facts are why the brakes still work in manual mode.
The stopping distance does not decrease with boost.
(granny excepted) one could call this granny assist.
see, in a shop full of men we can stop the car
fast and same low distance.
my guess is your post is about assist only.
not brakes dragging
not braKES WEAK.

assist is a whole other set of issues, if only assist fails....see?578fb15a-cb47-464a-8d9a-701f0cf1da4e.jpg

we don't have KB here in usa and means no books too.
this is a USA forum .
2.8L diesel.
head off?
so you need it all. and that is only in your KB service book
at your ISUZU dealer.

My isuzu kb 250 bakkie 2007 model started to show an oil icon on the dash board, when i check the oil it is on maximum. how do i solve this.

Most vehicles do not have an oil level sensor, only an oil pressure switch. Either the switch is bad or the oil pump is bad. A mechanic can determine which.

this is a USA web site, so if your car is not USA< answers will be wrong. (x10 not stating the country, silly huh but not one has)
no Bakkie';s here,
lost the operators guide and never read it?
there are 2 lamps for oil.
1 :oil pressure low, engine explodes.
2: time for an oil change.

open glove box and read it
or go to Isuzu buy the guide. and read.?
