2 reasons for this Firstly and most probably is air in the system. so check brake fluid level and bleed out starting at the longest line first. next will be a failed master cylinder where the rubber cups have failed or expanded to jam the piston in the cylinder. have a look under the dash to check for a broken pedal return spring

SOURCE: Brake pedal pulsates when appling brakes

If the new rotors were not allow to seat after replacement they will warp extremely easily. Easy to check. Remove wheel and check for trueness of rotor, a dead give away is if you see a blueish tint on the rotor.

SOURCE: Shake in steering wheel

I believe you need your disk brake rotors turned to be true again or have them replaced. Whe you use your brakes a lot and kit puddles of cold water then it will warp the rotors which will cause the violent shaking. You may not feel it in the brake pedal even if it is warped rotors. If you don't think you have warped rotors then you should be very careful driving it because it will probably be in the steering sector arm or the idler arm on the steering shaft.

SOURCE: When applying the brakes I get a vibrating sensation

Sounds as though the front brake rotors have became warped. This can happen due to sticking caliper slides not releasing the brakes fully, or heavy braking or two footed driving. I recommend a complete brake inspection. upon further inspection if the brakes are found to be in good working order then taking a measurement of the brake rotors, if rotors are with specification then have the rotors turned on a lathe and reinstall. Hope this helps.

Brake lights don't come on when pedal is pressed, all other lights work. What could be the cause?

While I'm not overly familiar with Mercedes, I'd assume that it still has a brake light switch located on the bar of the brake pedal itself. This switch is typically just a "plunger" style switch, where when you push the pedal down as if applying the brakes, the plunger extends outward turning the brake lights on. When the pedal is released, as if letting off the brakes, the plunger is depressed causing the lights to shut off. If that plunger gets stuck in a depressed position, the lights will remain off at all times. Check that first, along with the brake light fuse and/or relay. Good luck.

Brake lights won't work

-Bulb is good...?
-If so check the push in (On/Off switch) Just above the brake pedal arm. It might be stuck. If it's not stuck, replace new one.

Neither brake light will come on when I get on brake.Changed the fuse and bulbs already. keyless device only work sometimes. Put new CR2016 batteries in. Please help!!!

suspect a bad brake light switch,on the brake pedal itself.the key need not be on when checking the brake light switch.but requires 2 people.one to insure the brake lights come on,one to push the brake. theres a switch on the brake pedal itself. look above the brake pedal pad that you push to apply the brakes. you will see a plunger that moves in and out, just to supply the current to the brakelights.if the plungers out of sync,it will not work. or it may only be stuck.or simply bad,if it moves and brake lights do not work. if the plunger works on visual inspection, and is plugged up,the switch is suspect to be bad. thank you,for choosing fixya.com!! SIMPLE SOLUTION,CHECK THE BRAKE LIGHT FUSE. IT MAY ONLY BE BLOWN. UNDER THE DASH ON DRIVERS SIDE CLOSEST TO YOUR LEFT FOOT WHEN APPLYING BRAKES. WITH FLASHLIGHT,CHECK FOR BLOWN BRAKE LIGHT FUSE. if this fails, check for blown brakelight bulbs. unlikely that both brake light bulbs blown at once! but not unusall. thank you for choosing fixya.com!!

Why wont my brake light turn off... they are on all the time

You most likely have a faulty stop light switch. I have provided you with a couple of pictures. The first one in black and white is where you will find the switch and the second one is a picture of what your switch should look like but may not be what is in the car but you will get the idea. What happens is when you press the brake pedal a little button on the switch opens and when it opens it completes an electrical circuit and turns the brake lights on. when you let off the brake pedal the pedal comes back up and pushes that button back in to close the circuit. it is most likeley stuck open and not pushing back in when the pedal goes back up. When you see it you will understand better. I hope this helps you and good luck.

Brake lights stick on

It sounds like the brake light switch down on the brake pedal is stuck and it needs replaced,Its got like a push button setup when you apply the brakes the brake pedal pushes the brake switch button in brake lights come on and when you relase the brake pedal the button on the switch comes back out and brake lights go out but if switch is worn out or sticking the lights will stay lit even when off the brake pedal so just replace the brake light switch down on the brake pedal.

2001 Landrover Brake Lights on without brakes applied

Most likely your switch under the dash needs replacing, or you have a short, take a light and look under your dash up the brake pedal lever and you should be able to locate it, it will be a button most probably and it will be stuck in, or shorted.
