Steering wheel My steering wheel pops and clicks when I turn. Noise is actually coming from the steering wheel itself and at times the steering wheel will stick while trying to turn and when forced it will pop and free up.

Have a look at the turn indicator mechanism as it is activated by a cam and pins under the wheel. Further down there is a ball race that supports the top end of the shaft and the balls may be dry or the cage has broken. Check that the steering wheel lock is actually free of the wheel and is not still trying to engage the lock on the shaft

Hi,
Intermittent hard power steering, at the begining of the turn of the steering wheel, once disturbed past the hard part, works normal.
Had fluid change, I notice a sensor, on the control block tower of the rack, is this at fault ? thanks buckleyeng.

SOURCE: fix lights in steering wheel - 04 DeVille

Steering wheel lights do not have bulbs you can change. The switch is a sealed asembly with an integral light. Each one costs around $110 at the dealership.

Heated seats have wires inside a fabric cover located betwwen the outside seat skin and the inner foam. Over time, they burn out. You can buy replacements from the dealer and have either them or an upholstery shop install them.

SOURCE: Where do I pour the power Steering Fluid?

Pull up on the engine cover. It should pop off with slight force. The power steering fluid reservoir is under it.

2017 Hyundai Elantra steering noise?

This could be caused by the deterioration of this small flexible coupler located in the steering column. The good news is you don't need to have the entire steering column or intermediate shaft replaced as most people think. This tiny, $2.00 flexible coupler and two hours of labor could be the answer to your problem.

Pontiac GT steering wheel makes noise

Hi there, this sounds like a power steering pump issue. check the power steering fluid if you can. if its low, add to fill mark. if the noise is still present, its the actual pump itself.

Popping noise

Inner tie rods could make the same noise your describing. Do this......with your car in park and at idle, slightly turn you wheel from left to right, just a slight ****. 1/16 of a turn. Increase the pace from left to right, then slow down the pace. You should feel a bump in the steering wheel almost like something is tapping it. If so, have your inner and outer tie rods checked. Actually, have the steering gear checked also for leaks and wear.
