If the timer light is blinking then check the mileage done as it is probably a warning that it is time to change the timing belt.

Everything blinks when lights are turned on,changed the headlight relay and everything is still blinking, even changed out the switch. Any idea what is making everything blink?

What is everything blinking ? headlamps , dash lamps ,what else ? The headlamp switch is an input to the central timer module !
Also does it do it with headlamps hi or low beam ? Don't know what relay you replaced , there is no headlamp relay ! There is a park lamp relay ! http://bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Go here an check out wiring diagrams . Enter your vehicle info. Then under system click on lighting ,then under subsystem click on exterior lighting !

dont break the brakes..... TURNS & HAZ
many blinker, modules , internally flash with any load.
1: check all fuses first... (SOP)
2: then remove the blinker loads from the timer.

see it here
http://www.jeep4x4center.com/knowledge-base/index.htm?utm_source=cj#service

see WIRING, (end)
8w-51/52
chapter 8w, page 51-4 shows the switch. (complex it is)
note how brake and turns are shared, resources. (blub elements)
now 8w-52-6
see the flasher module.
see C305 pin 2, any load on that pin will cause it to flash.(inside)
that would be any switch in the combo switch stuck on.

2001 Acura maintenance light is flashing after I changed the oil. How do I reset it? Also, my blower stopped working on the heat.?

I can answer the FIRST question.

A. Car is off.
B. With car off, hold down BOTH trip buttons that are to the right of the tach.
C. Start car while STILL holding the buttons down.
D. Hold buttons down until they stop blinking THEN RELEASE THEM BOTH.

Done!

Note: That Maint.Req'd light is nothing more than a "timer". It doesn't mean anything. It is supposed to go off to remind you to change oil, etc but doesn't actually measure anything.

Some cars use this to get you to the dealer. Try disconnecting the battery for about 20 minutes and see if the light comes back.Sometimes this will reset the lights timer. If it returns, call a larger auto parts store and ask if they have the code reading computer for your year and model of car. Its usually a free service. That can tell you if you have a true problem.
I hope this helps you.

''maintenance required'' light on dash

  1. With the car started (just ignition on), set the LCD odometer readout to total mileage (not trip A or B).
  2. Turn the car off (ignition key to the OFF position).
  3. Push in AND HOLD the button/knob that switches the odometer
  4. Turn key to ON position without starting the car. You will notice the maintenance light blink and go out.
  5. Release the odometer button/knob.
  6. Turn key to OFF position.
  7. That's it! The "MAINT REQD" light has been reset to warn you to change your oil in another 5,000 or 7,500 miles or so.

OIL SENSOR LIGHT FLASHING

in some newer cars, they have light that blink like this to tell you that you need an oil change. they are just set on a timer to go off every 3500-5500 miles or it could be a malfuctioning oil pressure sensor. either way its a eawsy fix. take the car to a oil change shop to have them verify which one.
