Question about 2008 Chevrolet Impala
There should be a tab on either side of the glove box door that is what actually stops the door from opening any further. These can be squeezed inward to allow the glove box door to open fully (make sure to empty it out first or you will have a mess) and allow you to reach the area behind it.
