Rattling fans are an indication of unbalanced fan blades. check for dirt or corrosion on blades Remove the blades and see if the motor still vibrates. If so scrap the unit. You may be able to get new blades but as few places carry fan spares I would hold out hope in that department. Check around the appliance repair shops and see what info you can dig up . May be a contact to the manufacturer on the web will give some answers as to spares

SOURCE: there is a horrible rattling noise in the front

It sounds more like a possibly bad CV joint in an axle shaft or internal differential problem. There is no mechanical linkage to the front axle, its all electronically controlled. The front suspension is pretty good there aren't a lot of rattle type noises created from it. I need more info to diagnose better. Does it do it only moving? or stopped? over bumps only? in 4wd only? while turning? certain gears or speed only?

My 02 sprinter van makes a horrible rattling noise when idling.

a cylinder hub get bored , ot its arm bearing ( in its crank shaft )and it can give the cylinder more uplift to hit the knocker rods and make noise , sometimes the compression is low in one chamber and rattles the cylinder to the bed , however ? you can either buy or rent a tool called STEELMAN wireless chassisEAR , to diagnose which piston is doing that , or which injector is responsible , Deisel as we all know is more dense than Gasoline so it needs highly compressed air to ignite , you can also use that tool to read all your isolating parts in your vehicle ( such as suspension , wheel bearings , e.t.c ) it may cost $40 to $50 for that tool , but it will save you a lot of money in finding the problem and perhaps you can fix it yourself .

HVAC is making rattling noise

Your fan that is attached to your blowermotor is loose, causing the rattle, or the bearings in your blower motor are bad, causing the shaft and fan both to rattle.

Chrysler voyager 2.5l diesel fan belt making rattling noise for a day or so now power steering has packed in.Is this a major job or could it be a fluid level problem

Check fluid level first, but if you were hearing rattling, it might be too late to fix with just fluid.

fan belts don't make noise, but the pulleys they are connected to can make the noise you describe.

I wish you luck on fixing the problem.
It may take some resources to do so.

Heater blower motor makes noise

Maybe the bearing in the blower motor, or the fan on the motor is broken, causing it to vibrate or rattle. Also, something be have gotten into the blower motor housing. I found a mouse in one.

Engine making noise. Might be from timming chain. Please help?

Sounds like the fan is hitting the cowl. Check the fan for a broken blade or the cowl for any stray pieces that could be hitting the fan. A loose heat shield on the catalytic converter is also a possibility. Heat shields are basically spot welded and most muffler shops won't touch them. Hope this helps to answer your question.
