Watch battery in your remote is probably dead. they sell them at drugstores . get the right one and observe the plus and minus sides for proper polarity

i have same problem what i did is try to pull it up an lower it a couple of times buy hand then lower it an kepp locking and unlocking car by remote

SOURCE: the door unlock is inoperative for all doors

I have had this problem before and it was the wiring harness where it goes throught the door to the door post frame. Over time the flexing of the wiring harness by pening and closing the door can cause the wires to break. Not sure if this is you problem but it sure sounds familure

you have to take off the door panel and look. most often the linkage comes off of the outside handle; sometimes something is broken. It will be a mystery no more when you remove the door panel and look.

My drivers side rear door will not open from the inside or outside

I had exact problem Santa Fe 2007 2008 lock was stuck in locked position and door would not open from inside or out. All other doors would unlock with auto key remote. Carefully work the inside lock towards the open position as you lock and unlock the door with the remote. As you press unlock try to assist the lock to open. I did this a few times and the lock became free to the open position and all worked perfectly after this.

The doors will not lock or unlock from the door but will from the remote?

The title suggest the door won't unlock unless the remote is used but during the summer it was the inverse. If while inside the car the doors will not lock or unlock from the door but will from the remote then you have a faulty switch.If while outside the car the key turns while in the lock but the door won't lock or unlock then the linkage at the end of the lock is faulty. You'll need to remove the door inside plate to check this.

The front door outside handle quit working, opens from inside

replace the outside door handle. happened to me with same car, had to replace both handles. poor design causes the lifter arm to bend and eventally causes it to not lift enought to open the door.

ELECTRIC DOOR LOCKS ONLY LOCK SOME TIMES

if you hit the lock button a couple times, will it finally lock?

If so, then you will need to take door cover off and lube up the connectors as they probably got corroded.

There is NOT a mechanical connection to the outside door handles on the front doors. There is an electronic "door popping solenoid" This is a electronic problem. I think there was a recall on this.
