Question about 1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera
I own a '92 Olds CC and today when I cut the AC on it would not blow out the vents. It did blow out the "Defroster Vent" but no matter what I did or tried to do I could Not get it to "blow" out of the forward vents. ANY and all help on what to do, what to check, how to possibly clean out the vents, would be greatly appreciated, please. Thank you.
Chances are you lost vac to the control or the blend door under the dash. Most models built before 1999 used engine vac to move the blend doors. You may need a shop manual to get the diagrams to trace the vac lines.

SOURCE: ac problems
Sounds like your freon is getting low. Either charge it yourself, which is very easy to do, or take it in for a charge. I have had the same issue with my 98 silhouette.

Anybody can just change parts until the problem goes away. Answer this first: Was the underhood of the car recently serviced? and did this problem appear at that time? Perhaps there is a vacuum line broken or disconnected. The Heat/AC idepends on vacuum to actuate the servos that direct air passage. I know that the control cluster is known to fall apart, but check vacuum lines first.

If you have a late model GM car and the system is controlled electronically the blend door actuator becomes weak. When this situation occurs it will not move the air direction door inside of the heater/air conditioner plenum. in your case not to the vents Replace the actuator with new and recheck the system. i hope this helps
