SOURCE: No spark?

Hi, common thing with the mazda was the coil or the ignition amplifier going faulty, both of which are located within the distributor, the coil ususally gives the symptoms you describe, a weak spark. The coil is the most common failure aswell for your vehicle i would recommend a new one, also make sure distributor is spinning as it could just be a case of a broken timing belt.

Good luck Davelee

SOURCE: 1984 toyota pickup 22r motor. No fire to distributor

At the cost of the igniter i recommend checking your pickup coil.( The 2 wire sensor in side of your distributor. The The igniter will not allow the coil to fire with out reference form the pickup coil. Coil has primary and secondary resistances. when the primary coil powers up and then pulses off, this cause a high voltage due to magnetic degeneration. Check the coils primary and secondary resitances along with the air gap in the pickup coil, and also check the resitances on the pickup coil. If i am right your igniter will be okay.Get a good manual for you truck, It will save you money down the road.
Toyota does not have at test proseger for the ingiter.

Also check the wires in between the pickup coil and the igniter.
I hope this helped.

Got 86 Toyota pickup 22r getn no spark changed igniter, coil, plugs, and wires and did inline spark test still no spark need help!!!!

Sounds like you have concentrated on the HT items.
Time to go back and check out the LT circuit from the ignition switch through to the points in the distributor.
disconnect the feed going to the coil from the ignition switch. Switch on the ignition and 'flash' the lead to earth (ground)
You should get a healthy spark you would expect from the battery. If all is OK switch off the ignition and reconnect the lead. Remove the distributor cap. Worth checking the spring loaded carbon brush in the top of the distributor cap at this stage
Rotate the engine until the points are closed. Switch on the ignition and with a small insulated screwdriver open and close the points, a healthy spark should be seen every time you open the points. Check the condition of the points while here to make sure there has not been an excessive build up due to arcing, Clean or renew if necessary, Some distributors are fitted with a capacitor near the points - these can break down in time and always suspect.
If the spark across the points is good get a friend to turn the engine over while you watch the points. A good spark should be seen every time the cam opens the points. Clean the corrosion from the rotor and the segments on the distributor cap.
Sometimes the points are badly adjusted and prevent a good spark or the heel that runs on the cam gets badly worn.

After replacing my distributor on my 89 toyota corolla it wont start

It is possible that if you replaced the distributor, you simply have the plugs in the wrong firing order. Another possibility is that you need new spark plugs, wires, plugs, distributor rotor and possibly a distributor cap. A long shot problem is the ignition coil, but since you have spark in one plug, it is unlikely.

I got no spark coming out of a good ignition coil

The pickup coil - stator in the bottom of the distributor sends a signal to the igniter, which grounds the coil.
You may need a shop manual to be able to test the distributor and the igniter.

No spark

Hello. On toyotas, the igniter (the ignition module) is a common cause of no spark conditions. That, or the coil, or the pick-up coil inside the distributor may be your problem. Good luck.

Engine died & wont start no spark ignition coil tested good

try your ignition module in the distributor much more likely. just install rebuilt distributor if that is the problem , if you just replace module the main distributor assem will **** out shortly after.
Make sure you check for broken timing belt also it is one of those two!
