Start pro blem

Replaced altanator ran good for 3 days. then cut off an will turnover but want crank. no bad fuse. i have fuel but no spark. fans for radator an headlights come on when key is forward an ther sopose to be off. gauge lite up but dont work ac wont lite up or come on. buzzer in door dont work. then i stomped brake padel an it cranked ran 20 mins i cut it off then it crank again an cut right off i have been able to start it sence

SOURCE: 2001 S-10, Blowing "ECM Batt" fuse after running for about 30 min

that fuse feeds power to fuel pump relay circuit that feeds pump could be defective pump,or damaged circuit wires that shorts out! and not a good idea to put higher fuse in circuit could cause more damage to circuit! but i know when your stuck, u do what it takes,so inspect circuit related to fuse,

Yes It does. There are (or should be) toggle switches to reset security alarm. However, the ignition hot lead passes through the security relay contacts. This relay may be the culprit, in that if it does not pull when ignition key is turned; The start relay will not pull disabling fuel pump and spark.

1998 Suzuki Esteem ran out of gas. Still won't start after putting in gas. Is there a way to prime it.


putting gas where?

or doing the Test fuel procedures?
is this a barn find/ field found car, or it ran perfect last week, and DD for months. (daily driver?) all this maters and is unstated.
1.6L or 1.8L engine, G16 or J18 suzuki enignes? major different they are.
with old engines, we do this and win every time.

all FUSES good, (EFI and spark fuses up to 3 or more)

1: compression test, sparks out , wide open throttle. warm to hot engine.
180psi on all,, good, if like 90, the timing belt slipped. if J18. we have
3 folks now on our forum that managed to slip a chain (they ingored huge noises from engine,,,, amazing)
2: spark got good on all 4 cylinders. and timed right not guessed at
using a real tool called a timing light for 20 bucks.
3: with fuel pump relay pulled i test engine on test fuel.
runs for 3 seconds, each spray and SOUNDS good.
ok it does that.. (this avoids flooding issues)
4: i put back the fuel pump relay.
and it dont start. i check for injection,
i find all injectors, dead.
the ECU is cutting injection,
i connect scan tool and see the CKP DTC errors , the CKP is dead
or CMP on G16. dead. the ECU reports them cranking only, on a dead engine.
the ECU will cut fuel if it seen spark dead.
the ECU will cut fuel if the TPS sensors signals wide open throttle cranking
i checked all that and its good.
i find fuel pressure a 0 , cranking, (one more cheap tool)
i find 12vdc good to pump cranking (a 10 buck meter at walfart)
the pump is bad. no the wires are corroded. at the pump line....
super common on old cars.

this is 1 example path of 100s.

s10 no fuel. 1988 ( S10 blazer )
please do say , what that means.
1: car cranks and will not start. so must be out of fuel?
(over 50 causes, or better is 10 or less tests (ask)
2: same, and fuel pressure is 0 psi (spec.9-13). gauged.?
3: fuel dribble test?
4: sparks good so tired test fuel and it ran on test fuel ok? proving
loss of fueling>?
5: injector dead cranking, (eyeballs)

which was it?

1988 cars in the USA are BIG TIME TRANSITION year.
we went from CARBS to EFI.
2.5L (what is E)?
gear cam, roller HLA lifters.
your car, USA , is TBI engine,
TBI started on THIS car in 1985 (1/2 and 1/2)
Throttle body injection
an on all TBI engines, one can see it inject with eyes.
does it?
if not it can be the following things.
1: no fuel pressure, 9-13pis.
2: ECU is cutting fuel. Pressure good cranking.
2a: ECU is sending error for bad crank/cam sensors, and cuts fuel.
2b: ECU sees rpm or tacho line dead.
2c. ECU sees TPS sensor output as 4v or more cranking, this cuts all fuel.
3: if ECU is happy, it sends 12vcd to the pump, cranking.
all tests must be dont cranking or chase tail.

Where is fuse and relay on the fuel pump a 2005 kia sedona and is there a fuel pump restart buttom


Look in the fuse box in the engine bay near the battery for (Right Hand Drive models.) Look on the inside of the cover and you will see a 'map' of all the fuses and relays. Align the map to compare with the arrangement of fuses and relays in the box to make it easier. No fuel pump restart button. This guide is for petrol(gasoline) model.

Starter will not turn motor over


takes 4 things to get it to run besides , cranking. fast
1: 12vdc to the EFI system (check fuses)
2: good compression, (forgot to replace timing belt? and it slipped)
compression way below 150PSI w.o.t.? is just that on all 4 cyl.
3: bad spark (tune up time at 60kmiles) if timing is way off, see #2
4: bad fueling, too rich, or too lean, it will stall.

there is for each stated,
the ECU will cut fuel if it sees (3 way detection) no spark.
it cuts fuel to prevent fire.
do you want to test, or guess. ?

Check the fuel pump fuse and relay, if it's OK, you have a bad fuel pump. About the no spark, could be many things
Ignition coil, distributor (if so equipment) , main shaft position sensor, computer problem

2000 blazer will not start did a manifold gasket job, replaced plugs, wires, distributor cap,new fuel filter. Cranked and ran really good for 2 days then will not crank


Check you starter, maybe you have a loose connection. Try to give direct power to the starter and see what's happening. I nothing happens, you have a bad starter.

My car keeps cutting off and then takes a while to cut back on. I have already gotten an altanator and battery fixed in this car and it still cuts off on me, I dont know what else to do I think it may be...


shuts off while driving down road, then restarts after 10-15 minutes. a bad crank sensor will cause this. also check the fuel pump relay in fuse box. it may be getting hot, and shutting down fuel pump. check this first. have a good day !!

When you disconnect a spark plug wire, do you get spark when you crank the engine over?
If so,
When you turn the key to the "run" position (do not crank) do you here the fuel pump run for 2 - 3 seconds?
