I need to know where the idle air control valve is located on a 2004 GMC ENVOY, not a 2004 jeep! Do you know the answer?

these are located on the intake manifold near where the throttle cable connects to it.just look for a motor in this location that looks the same as your part and has the same style and number of connector and wires.

Yes it could cause that. the EGR is near the rear of the engine, if it is leaking it will sizzle water when you touch it with wet fingers.
