Question about Cars & Trucks
I think the idle air control valve on my 2004 gmc envoy is bad. i don't know where it is so that i can replace it. every time i ask i get responses that have nothing to do with my question. WHERE IS THE IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE ON A 2004 GMC ENVOY LOCATED??? how can i find it?
It should be mounted on the side of the throttle body. But if it is bad you should also have a check engine light on and a stored trouble code for the valve.

these are located on the intake manifold near where the throttle cable connects to it.just look for a motor in this location that looks the same as your part and has the same style and number of connector and wires.

Yes it could cause that. the EGR is near the rear of the engine, if it is leaking it will sizzle water when you touch it with wet fingers.
